Sally Chesworth, Executive Officer of the National Fruit Fly Council

In this role, Sally supports the work of the Council, engages with members and other key stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of key Council outcomes. She leads the communications and regional fruit fly workshop activities, assists with research and preparation of materials for meetings, and provides secretariat support for the conduct of and follow up from meetings.

Prior to joining Plant Health Australia and the Council, Sally worked for the Department of Agriculture. She is a previous secretariat of the Subcommittee on Domestic Quarantine and Market Access and, more recently, held a policy development role working on a variety of national pest status policies to enhance Australia’s plant biosecurity system.
