Victoria’s Chief Plant Health Officer (CPHO) provides technical and strategic leadership in plant biosecurity through the development of policy, delivery of the plant biosecurity work program and leadership of state-wide responses to Emergency Plant Pest incursions.
The CPHO is responsible for proactively shaping and influencing the national plant biosecurity agenda by working with diverse stakeholders including plant industry groups, Victorian and Federal Government agencies, Plant Health Australia and the community.
The CPHO represents Victoria on national committees and provides high‐level technical advice to executive management including the Minister.
