Dan Ryan is the Program Director for SITplus, a joint research program between research agencies and funders in Australia and New Zealand, to develop the use of sterile insect technique to manage Queensland fruit fly (Qfly) in Australia and New Zealand.
As program Director, Dan provides operational leadership for development and uptake of Qfly management solutions. Dan ensures that SITplus delivers a functional business model, operates high quality research projects and delivers appropriate outcomes and outputs, fosters informed and effective governance oversight, applies effective science prioritisation and management processes, designs and implements innovative promotion and adoption strategies, and fosters a harmonious and productive work environment.
Dan has worked in science management, outcome delivery and commercialisation for horticulture for over 20 years.
