National Manger, National Fruit Fly Council
In this role, Christina supports the work of the Council, engages with members and other key stakeholders to coordinate delivery of the National Fruit Fly Strategy.
Prior to working at Plant Health Australia, Christina worked in Primary Industries and Regions in South Australia, supporting horticulture industries achieve and leverage biosecurity credentials to improve production and market access. This included projects to strengthen and promote South Australia’s fruit fly pest freedom, assist regulators and industries in plant incursion preparedness, and promote on-farm biosecurity practices amongst growers.
Christina previously spent 20 years with the Australian Government Department of Agriculture in various roles, including in biosecurity operations, legislation development, research coordination and quality improvements.
